This hardcover wirebound journal is debossed with a motif based on Calder's 1949 ink drawing Aspen. Each page is printed with lines on the front, and a grid pattern on the reverse, giving you space to write and draw as you please. Complete with Calder's signature debossed on back cover.

Throughout his career, Calder illustrated many of his mobiles, stabiles, and standing mobiles for exhibition catalogues published in the United States and abroad. These sketches express the dynamic nature of his output in two dimensions and offer valuable insight into a sculpture’s composition and orientation.
